VascuLyse is non-invasive, in that it doesn’t pierce the skin. It leverages mild electrical currents through a process called “thermo-coagulation”, which works on the surface of the skin to remove unsightly marks without scarring. Healing time is short, typically taken between 3 to 5 days. There may be a scab after your treatment, but it will heal within a few days. Always remember, do not pick your scab! It’s part of the healing process of the treatment. Try and touch or stretch the treated area as little as possible in the days following your treatment. Cleansing the area is permitted, but you should make sure your using a gentle motion and mild products on the treated area, and finishing with a moisturizer. After your treatment, make sure you stay out of the sun, and away from swimming pools, hot tubs, and saunas.
Because of its non-invasive nature, VascuLyse is relatively painless. Our patients mostly describe the feeling as a “little pricking”. After your treatment, you are permitted to use makeup along the treated area, as long as you apply it gently.
