Rosacea is a very common and chronic skin problem that mostly affects the area of the face. It exhibits itself by visible appearance of redness, swelling, pimple like acne and dilated blood vessels. It most commonly affects the areas of the nose, cheeks, chin, and forehead. Rosacea can become a bothersome and very embarrassing condition for many individuals. If left untreated, Rosacea most often will worsen over time. Even though it is mostly an incurable skin condition it can be effectively treated with modern laser technology.
Millions of people all over the world suffer from this skin condition and may not even know about it. Rosacea typically affects individuals of any skin type and color. However, it is most commonly found in people from the North or West regions of Europe who have a fair complexion. Family history can be a risk factor for developing the condition. Even though Rosacea can strike at any age, it is most prevalent in people over the age of 30.
People who suffer from Rosacea should be aware that certain circumstances can potentially worsen the condition including: heat, exercise, sunlight, exposure to cold, spicy food, alcohol consumption, onset of menopause, psychological stress, and any use of facial steroid creams. Emotional episodes such as stress, anxiety, fear and embarrassment can also bring on Rosacea. Even though more women seem to be affected by Rosacea, men tent to have more severe symptoms.
At the beginning, Rosacea may seem to appear and disappear over time. However, most often the skin looses its normal color, and soon thereafter enlarged blood vessels and pimples may appear. Rosacea usually requires some kind of regular treatment to lessen the symptoms.
Symptoms of Rosacea can be characterized by skin redness and the appearance of flushing. In extreme cases this condition may look similar to getting sunburned. Other manifestations of Rosacea may include pimples resembling acne and red bumps which can sting or burn. Some individuals can also experience swelling of blood vessels in the areas of their cheeks or the nose. Oftentimes, this unusual redness can be a frequent cause of embarrassment to the affected individuals. Sometimes people may assume that this condition is caused by excessive drinking of alcohol and may further stigmatize the affected individuals.
Rosacea as a chronic condition, can flare-up and reoccur frequently. Your skin may be clear for many weeks, months or even years only to end up symptomatic again. In severe episodes, Rosacea can make your skin thicker or even change the texture of your skin. This usually occurs around the nose area and may cause you to have irritated, very dry and tearful eyes. Sometimes, Rosacea can also attack the areas of the neck, chest, scalp and the ears.
At IGBeauty, we use an innovative and non-invasive procedure to target facial veins caused by Rosacea and the IPL (Intense Pulse Light) laser vain treatment is our first choice. This treatment is specifically designed to minimize the appearance of thick varicose veins and very small capillaries. You can expect fast and visible results with very little to no downtime.
The Lumenis® Laser and IPL Vascular Treatment is a leading-edge procedure that your clinician will use to effectively treat the affected area. This modern technology enables the light and energy source to attack the vascular condition and make it disappear.
Please note that not everybody is a good candidate for the Rosacea laser vain treatment. There are some risks associated with this procedure such as: redness, scarring, swelling or pigmentation change. People suffering from the following conditions should not undergo the Rosacea laser vain treatment: active infections, inflammatory skin conditions, viral, fungal or bacterial diseases and skin cancer. At IGBeauty, we always inform our patients to seek advice from your primary clinician before considering the Rosacea laser vain treatment.
Our modern Lumenis® IPL technology is effective and gentle way to eliminate discoloration, brown spots, and bothersome blood vessels. It will also give you a more youthful, cleaner and redness free complexion.
The Rosacea vain treatment uses a laser that generates heat inside the blood vessels. This heat is able to close the walls of the veins and make them disappear altogether. The modern technology of the IPL laser enables it to be very precise and center on just the selected area leaving the surrounding skin unaffected. The IPL comes equipped with a special filter that will only focus on the targeted blood vessels.
All of our Luminis technologies are able to ensure that your skin is being cooled between pulses and therefore reducing any chances of possible damage to the skin. At IGBeauty, we take pride in the effectiveness of all of our procedures.

learn moreTo maximize your comfort, your clinician will apply a cooling gel to the affected area to minimize any possible discomfort associated with the Rosacea laser vein treatment. At most, the treatment should take anywhere between 15-30 minutes depending on the desired area to be treated. Most people only experience a slight warming sensation as the laser is applied to the skin. This treatment is designed to be very gentle, pain free and you should experience very little discomfort.
Depending on the area treated and the amount of visible veins, you will most likely need about 2-3 sessions in the span of 6-8 week intervals.
After the treatment you might see some light redness along the vessels. With many of our patients, improvement can be seen almost immediately after the treatment. You should be able to see visible diminishment of the veins after a few weeks. We also advise our patients to take care during recovery time. You should stay away from taking hot baths and limit intense physical exercise for about 1-2 weeks after the Rosacea laser vein treatment. However, this should not impede your regular daily activities. After the healing period has passed you should see a visible improvement in the diminishment of your vascular veins. We have many satisfied patients who are very happy with their after treatment results.
